SEVEN SISTERS
805 RHODE PLACE STE.500 HOUSTON, TX 77019
Seven Sisters is a Houston-based gallery showcasing fine art, craft, design, and projects conceptualized with the star pattern Pleiades in mind. A historical marker at the root of many mythological tales, the Pleiades (also known as the Seven Sisters, Messier 45, and other names) embodies an open star cluster’s expansive and ever-changing energy. As a gallery, Seven Sisters channels an ethos of collaboration, creation, and path-finding through intuition, narrative, and storytelling. In early November 2023, the gallery opened in an industrial warehouse space in Houston's historic Fourth Ward, adjacent to downtown and the Buffalo Bayou.
Seven Sisters was founded by Erin Dorn, who, over the past twenty years, has worked in the arts, starting in public relations at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and then as a gallery director with critical roles in artist development and representation, client advisory, collection management, exhibition curation, and art fair presentations. She is joined by Tom Raith, who discovered his passion for the arts after a career in banking and military service. His education in environmental science has helped shape his interests in art, responding to hidden themes in nature and humanity’s relationship with its surroundings. His love for interior design, architecture, and gardening provides a unique perspective to Seven Sisters evolving program and space.
